As a point of reference, I’m 5’4” with a pear-shaped figure. I typically wear a size S-M on top, a 30/10 in pants, 8.5-9 in shoes, and a size 8 in dresses. This guide will be updated regularly with every new product I acquire, so you can rely on it as a comprehensive resource for all things Sezane.

You can never have too many Will Jackets from Sezane—trust me on this one. This denim jacket was my first, and it’s an absolute favorite. The large pockets make it feel like a classic chore coat and are great for those who want to run errands without a bag. I opted for a size LARGE to allow for layering light knits underneath, and it fits perfectly
The Sezane Felix Jumper was my go-to piece last fall and winter. This lightweight cotton turtleneck has just the right amount of stretch, making it versatile enough to wear on its own or layered under dresses and sweaters. I chose a size MEDIUM, which was perfect for me. I love it so much that I’m tempted to buy one in every color! It’s also at a great price point compared to other similar styles on their site - $100! [As of March 2025, I own 5 Felix jumper’s the newest being the SOL PRINT pictured above.
As of now, the specific print of my Alicia skirt is no longer available online, the product link will take you to the latest available prints. This skirt is my favorite because of the high slit, which adds a playful, cheeky element to any outfit. I recommend wearing bike shorts underneath on windy days. I’m wearing a SIZE 10, and it fits beautifully.
The Sezane Tabata Skirt is another must-have in my wardrobe, and I own four of them—clearly, I’m a fan. This mid-length skirt features a more modest slit than the Alicia skirt, offering a touch of flirtation without going overboard. It’s perfect for dressing up or down. I have all SIZE 10s, and they fit like a dream.
The Marcie Mary Janes were my first heel purchase from Sezane, and I have some thoughts on sizing. Footwear can be tricky, especially when you can’t try them on in-store. I typically wear an 8.5 in shoes and a 9 in boots, so I opted for a size 9 thinking a little extra room was better than squished feet, but they ended up being a bit bigger than I expected. Now, I make a point to visit the Sezane store in East Village to try on shoes before buying. While these run a bit large, a toe filler could fix the issue, and I decided to keep them.
Outfit details: I paired these heels with the Tabata Skirt and Jared Top.
Quick note on the Jared Top: It’s stunning but slightly restrictive for movement due to the folded-over design. I got a MEDIUM, and it fits well.
TLDR: If you're between sizes, SIZE DOWN in the Marcie Mary Janes.
Once you’ve stocked up on all your neutral sandals, it’s time to add some color! These Judith Low sandals quickly became my favorite for a subtle pop of color. Be aware, though—they are VERY FLAT. I felt a bit awkward walking in them at first since I’m used to the support of Birkenstocks, but they are incredibly charming once you get used to them. I ordered a SIZE 9, and they fit perfectly. If you’re between sizes, you can either size up or stick to your usual size.
The iconic Sezane Clyde Trench is an absolute must-have. It’s known for selling out fast, and it’s easy to see why - it’s a classic, timeless piece that every wardrobe needs. Available in four different colors, there’s a Clyde Trench to suit everyone’s style. I opted for a size 8, because the description said it had a slightly oversized fit, and it is perfect for light layers!
This is probably my favorite item I’ve ever purchased from Sezane… maybe tied for first with my circle bag. If you’re torn on which color to get, I have a friend who got the ecru and said it feels more appropriate for spring vs both fall and spring. But you really can’t go wrong with any color Clyde Trench!
I’m completely obsessed with pistachio green! This mini version of the larger Farrow bucket bag is still spacious enough for all my essentials, plus a little extra. One of the things I love about Sezane is their ever-changing selection of fun colors, like this light green for spring and a darker, forest green for fall. Despite the seasonal tones, I plan to wear this year-round for a delightful pop of color.
Yes, I own more than one Sezane Will Jacket! This dark green khaki suede version is such a fun statement piece, perfect for anyone who loves a 70s-inspired style like I do. I enjoy pairing it with bold retro colors or even classic denim. It’s unlined and very lightweight, making it ideal for layering. I chose a size LARGE, and it still works well for layering.
Gifted to me by my husband, this suede saddle bag instantly became a cherished item. Its design reminds me of vintage Coach and Dooney & Bourke bags, blending classic style with a touch of nostalgia. The suede material adds a perfect autumnal vibe, making it an ideal choice for fall outings. The saddle bag's timeless silhouette ensures it remains a staple in my wardrobe season after season.
You absolutely need the Sezane Conrad Tee in your wardrobe. Sezane is currently celebrating 10 years of this classic tee, and at just $40, it’s a steal—especially with free personalization! I own four of them, two with my name embroidered (like the one pictured) and two without. I honestly wish I had more personalized versions.
This will definitely be a feature in my 2024 Holiday Gift Guide, as it makes a thoughtful and affordable gift. I wear a MEDIUM, and it fits just right—a bit boxy, a bit relaxed, but still flattering to a woman’s shape. If you prefer a roomier fit, consider sizing up.
I was initially torn between the Sezane Michele Jacket and the Corduroy Will Jacket, but when it comes to shopping, I aim to fill gaps in my wardrobe. I realized I needed a blazer-style jacket, making the Michele Jacket the perfect choice. The product description advises, 'if you are between two sizes, choose the size below,' which would have led me to a size 8. However, I opted for a size 10 to allow extra room for layering, and I’m so glad I did—it fits exactly as I hoped! The rich, rusty brown corduroy velvet is a luxurious fabric, and I can already envision pairing it with dresses, denim, or even a mini skirt with tights and boots. This jacket is sure to be a versatile staple in my wardrobe.
If you’ve read my Sezane Marcie Mary Jane review, you’ll know I initially ordered a size 9, which ended up being slightly larger than I preferred. To avoid future sizing issues, I made it a priority to visit the East Village Sezane store to try on as many pumps as possible and find my ideal size, especially since Sezane shoes often come in full sizes rather than halves.
The Melanie Mary Janes have a similar shape to the Marcie but feature only an ankle strap. In-store, I found that a size 8 fit better due to the reduced support, giving me a snugger fit, which I preferred.
For the Paula Babies, a slingback style with two front straps, I opted for the size 9, but I felt the slingback strap didn’t offer as much security as I like in a heel.
The Elodie Mary Janes ended up being the perfect blend of the Melanie and Paula styles. With the additional straps, I decided on the size 9 (and crossed my fingers because I hate exchanging shoes). I’m happy to report they fit like a glove! These pumps might be the closest I get to owning a pair of Carel Paris Mary Janes, and I’m totally okay with that.
The Sezane Lou Lou Trousers are a must-have for anyone struggling with pant shopping, especially if you have a pear-shaped body like mine. Finding pants that fit both my waist and hips is usually a challenge, but these were a pleasant surprise! The waistband offers plenty of room for tummies while the fabric drapes perfectly down the legs, just as it would on a thinner model. I often struggle with baggy pants feeling tight on my thighs, but these trousers avoid that issue entirely. I also love the warm-toned plaid print, which is perfect for fall fashion. I opted for a size 10 / 42, and the fit is spot-on!
Sezane used to be my go-to for dresses, but recently, they’ve leaned more into body-con knit styles, which, while cute, aren’t always my preferred look. So, when I spotted the 100% cotton corduroy Celenia dress, I knew I had to give it a try. I opted for a size 8, though I sometimes size up (to a 10) in fitted dresses, and I’m happy to report that it fits like a glove! The length is what I love most about it—while I usually favor a good maxi dress, they can feel a bit overwhelming on my petite frame. The Celenia dress hits mid-calf, making it perfect for showcasing tall boots or pairing with ankle boots to show a little skin. It comes with its own belt and belt loops that actually stay in place (a huge plus since flimsy belts are a pet peeve of mine). I can also see myself swapping out the belt occasionally for one of my own. Overall, I highly recommend this dress, and I’d love to see more fabrics in this vintage-inspired style!
Pants are usually my worst nightmare. As someone with a pear shape and a short torso, finding the right fit is a challenge. Luckily, we’re in the era of pleated trousers, and more brands are offering styles that actually make me excited to wear pants again. Sezane trousers have always been tricky for me—they tend to favor the tall, slim, Parisian woman aesthetic. My husband got me the Theophile Trousers for my birthday in September, and while I loved the fit (I went with a size 10), the light color wasn’t as practical for fall and winter. So, I exchanged them for the Aldo trousers in a gorgeous warm-toned plaid, and I’m so glad I did! They fit perfectly—well, after shortening them a few inches (which makes sense since they cater to taller women too). These trousers can easily be dressed up or down and will no doubt become a winter wardrobe staple for me. Again, I went with a size 10 AKA a French 42.
The Masha Skirt was supposed to be my holiday party statement piece, but then we all caught colds that kept us home. I know I’ll find a special occasion for this skirt soon, especially because it can be paired with a sweater and flats for an evening at the theater, or spiced up with something bold (like the model) for a more extravagant event. I love a tulle skirt, they’re timeless, and so is this burgundy color!
As always, I got my usual size 10 in this and it fits great.
The Clarine Skirt is a Sezane staple. I finally added one of my collection when they released a brown wool style for F/W 24. I got my usual size 10, which fits perfectly, and the fabric makes it great for dressing up or down in the chillier months. I especially love it paired with the Elodie Mary Janes and Felix Jumper, or like I’m wearing in the video still - a cream silk blouse and boots, which gives a very World War II fashion aesthetic.
Sorry for the awkward screen-grab from an OOTD, I never seem to get good photos when I’m wearing this!
I picked up Sezane’s Abel Bag because I’d been on the lookout for a roomy purse for more upscale occasions. I love the two tone black (a suede and a leather croc) and gold chain strap detail, and it holds a surprising amount of stuff (a small film camera, snacks, a charger with room for more!) while still feeling petite and classy. I can’t wait for all the fun places I’ll go with this beautiful bag.
I got a size US 8 / Fr 40 in this top, and its just right - happy to see so much size consistency in the brand. (The only weird fits are the pants which I feel is common in general.) I’m actually still deciding if I want to keep this one (as of March 6th 2025). I can’t decide if it’s giving me peplum PTSD from my hipster years or if its the perfect addition to my closet. Basically, it’s a BEAUTIFUL top, it reminds me of something I’d see from Ulla Johnson. Quality, fit, design, etc wise, it’s a hard yes for me, so if that’s what you’re looking for - get it. But if you’re used to crew necks and prairie dresses…
I tend to purchase cotton knitwear because of my sensitive skin. This Titouan Cardigan is a FAVORITE and as of March 31 2025, it hasn’t come back in stock in a while, which is devastating because I would buy it in every color. The cotton knit is just as good feeling as my cotton Babaa. As usual, the medium fit perfectly, you can size up or down depending on how you intend to wear it.
The Léontine Jumper is a wardrobe staple, an entry level Sezane purchase, and a piece I continually grab. As a cotton knit lover, I couldn’t ask for a better cozy sweater that works great to layer in colder seasons, but also as something to throw on with shorts or a skirt on a cool summer night. I went with a medium, as usual, and I suggest you size up or down depending on fit!
The Sezane Duda Skirt might just be my favorite new find of the season. This embroidered cotton-linen maxi skirt features soft pleats along the body and hemline, adding movement and structure without feeling too stiff. It’s also fully lined—a detail that makes all the difference in both comfort and quality.
I tried on the color Mineral Blue, a medium-toned, slightly muted blue that feels fresh but still versatile. The moment I put it on, I fell in love—and so did my friend who was trying on pieces with me that day. It instantly reminded me of something you’d see from Doen, but with better construction (hello, lining) and at nearly half the price.
This skirt is incredibly easy to dress up or down. It even has a matching top available separately, which would make a beautiful set for spring and summer. I haven’t purchased it yet, but let’s be honest—I’m one click away. Can one ever have too many skirts?
As for sizing, my usual US 10 fit perfectly.
As of May 21st, 2025, I don’t (yet) own the Sezane Wali Jacket, but that could change any day now. On a recent visit to L’Appartement NYC, I finally tried on this white embroidered vest with a tie front - a piece I’ve admired for ages but always talked myself out of, thinking it wasn’t “practical.” But what even is practical when it comes to summer fashion?
This lightweight vest is beautifully detailed and feels surprisingly sturdy - elevating it beyond your average seasonal trend piece. It’s one of those wardrobe items that’s simple but special, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. If it stays on my mind much longer, I’ll be placing an order.
Sizing notes: I tried on a size 38, and it fit perfectly.
Stay tuned - I’ll update this post if (okay, when) it becomes mine!
I have a lot of thoughts on the Sezane Pippa Dress, both the long and short versions. While they’re absolute fan favorites, I have to admit—I’m not one of them. The quality is excellent, and the dress is incredibly comfortable, with a thoughtfully designed front tie detail that offers a flattering touch for anyone unsure about traditional body-con styles.
That said, the Pippa is still a form-fitting dress, and for me, it just didn’t feel right on my body. The tie does a great job of softening the silhouette and creating dimension, but if you're not fully comfortable with your shape being visible, this may not be your go-to. If you are into body-con styles or are simply on the fence, I do recommend trying it on—it looks amazing on so many people and might surprise you.
This review is for anyone feeling the peer pressure of the Pippa hype but wondering if it's worth it for their body type. For me, it wasn’t the one—and that’s okay. Fashion is personal, and this is just one of those viral pieces that works beautifully on others, even if it’s not a match for me.
TLDR; Spectacular, give me 14 of them right now.
The Sezane Solia Dress, much like the beloved Pippa Dress, is undeniably stunning—and I can see why it’s a fan favorite. Unfortunately, it’s never been the right fit for my body, at least not without alterations. I’ve purchased the Solia multiple times over the years, hoping it would work, but I’ve always ended up reselling it on Poshmark or in Facebook resale groups.
As shown in the close-up photo, there’s a significant amount of excess fabric in the bust area. If you have a fuller chest, this dress may work beautifully on you. But as someone with A-cups, I’ve found the top tends to gape, and I’m constantly adjusting the neckline to feel secure. Despite the fit issues, the quality is exceptional, as always with Sezane. My favorite feature of this version is the shirred detailing on the sleeves, which adds a romantic and vintage-inspired touch.
While the Solia Dress doesn’t suit my shape, I still recommend trying it if the silhouette speaks to you—it could be your perfect fit.
The Rosie Basket is the sweetest mid-size summer bag. At first the straps threw me off, but I actually love the length and style! If you’re looking to add a summer bag to your closet, I highly suggest the Rosie.
This dress is another beauty in theory but not on my body type, AND THAT’S OKAY! If I fell in love with a print, I do think it’s worth minor tailoring to make it fit better. I think it would be ideal as a wedding guest dress (not this print!) or a semi formal occasion. I would also suggest sizing if you are curvier in the middle like I am.
The Sezane Vika Dress is a summer dream—flirty, feminine, and surprisingly versatile. Available in a navy floral viscose and a white cotton version with delicate embroidery, this short dress combines charm with comfort in all the right ways.
Featuring short sleeves, a low round neckline with an adjustable tie, and a waist cut-out detail, the Vika is both playful and romantic. The elastic neckline makes it flexible for a range of bust sizes, and the tie-and-button front closure adds a sweet, vintage-inspired touch. Note that the dress is unlined, but I didn’t find this to be an issue in terms of comfort or opacity—though lighter colors may benefit from nude undergarments.
I tried my usual size 8, and the fit was spot-on. If you prefer a slightly looser or more relaxed look, I recommend sizing up. The length is just right—short without being too revealing—and it pairs perfectly with sandals, boots, or even sneakers for a dressed-down vibe.
The Sezane Livio Top, part of the exclusive Sezane x Andión collaboration, completely exceeded my expectations. This strapless printed linen-cotton top is thoughtfully designed, combining a square neckline with a low-cut back—a striking silhouette that balances elegance and ease.
I tried it on without a bra, and thanks to the fully lined interior, it felt supportive and comfortable. If you’re someone who’s confident going braless, this top makes it easy. The quality feels exceptional, with structure and craftsmanship that seem built to last through many seasons of wear.
I tried my usual size 8, and while it fit well, I would consider sizing up if you prefer a more relaxed or roomy fit. The Livio top also pairs beautifully with the matching bottom for a complete summer set that’s both chic and effortless.
