Hearth: Folklore by Candlelight
On Sunday, October 5th, I joined Hearth at Flower Cat Café in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for a magical evening of folklore and stories by candlelight beneath the Harvest Moon. Hosted by storyteller and historian Susan Davey, the gathering explored autumnal myths and seasonal traditions. Guests crafted, shared their own tales, and celebrated the midpoint of fall in a cozy, intimate setting.
Hearth is an Irish cultural organization born in New York City that creates spaces where history, heritage, and mythology come alive through storytelling. If you’re interested in folklore, community, and immersive cultural events, I highly recommend checking out their upcoming gatherings.
